Hey Mama,
I’m Kerri!

Founder of The Mamascape, mama to one sweet boy, and a firm believer that rest isn’t selfish — it’s sacred… and best enjoyed with coffee in hand.

My Story

I was born in Mesa, Arizona, but grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico — the place that shaped so much of who I am. I stayed there through college surrounded by family, endless sunshine, and fueled by an unlimited supply of green chile.

In 2020, I married my amazing husband in Cancun, Mexico — the very week the world shut down (a story we’ll never forget). Not long after, we felt the pull to return to Arizona, where we’ve been ever since — building our life, raising our son, and soaking up the beauty of the desert we now call home.

Before motherhood, I spent seven years working as a Registered Dental Hygienist — a career that allowed me to care for others every single day.

When my son was born, I stepped away from that work to pursue my lifelong dream of being a stay-at-home mom.

“Mom” was the job I wanted most — and it’s still the role I cherish above all.

My Turning Point

My son’s first two years were beautiful — but they were also some of the hardest of my life. Between navigating his food allergies, honoring his strong-willed spirit, and being far from family, I poured every ounce of myself into caring for him. Somewhere along the way, I realized I had lost touch with me.

Even though I had wonderful friends, I often felt completely alone in motherhood. Their babies seemed so “easy” — always smiling, always content — while I was living in constant survival mode. I spent those years trying everything I could to keep him comfortable: strict routines, elimination diets, therapy sessions — anything that might help.

But the harder I tried, the smaller my world became. It felt safer to stay home, where I could control the variables and protect his peace. What I didn’t realize was how much of my own peace I was losing in the process.

That season humbled me and stretched me in ways I never expected. It showed me the depth of a mother’s love — and the quiet cost of forgetting her own needs along the way.

How The Mamascape Came Along

Mom Releasing Stress

Out of that season of survival came a deep realization — that mothers need space, too.

Not just a quick break or a moment to catch our breath, but true, intentional space to rest, reconnect, and remember who we are outside of motherhood.

I began to notice how often moms, myself included, put our own needs last — waiting until everything else was done before caring for ourselves. But the truth is, there’s never a “perfect time” to rest. We have to choose it.

That understanding is what inspired The Mamascape — a gentle, supportive community designed to help mothers pause without guilt and reconnect with themselves through rest, reflection, and meaningful connection.

It started simply — with a desire to offer the kind of care I wished I’d had: spaces that feel safe, restorative, and rooted in compassion. What began as a personal vision has grown into a movement reminding moms everywhere that caring for yourself isn’t selfish — it’s how you come home to who you are.

My Hope for You

My hope is that when you spend time here — whether reading, resting, or joining a retreat — you feel seen, supported, and reminded that you’re not alone.

I hope The Mamascape helps you slow down long enough to hear yourself again — to find peace in the pause, joy in connection, and strength in remembering that your well-being matters, too.

Because motherhood was never meant to be done in isolation. We were made to hold one another up, to rest when we’re tired, and to receive care as easily as we give it.

So, welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
At The Mamascape, you are always seen, always loved, and always valued.

P.S. When you’re ready to pause, we’ll be here to welcome you.
